Now that she's on home-cooked food, I like to add in some mint every now and then, because it's just so refreshing. So today, we're making the Mint Yogurt Chicken!
The yogurt keeps the chicken breast moist and tender, compared to the usual dry meat that we get when cooking chicken breast. Trust me, it's just so juicy!
Here are the ingredients needed, and you can vary the quantity depending on the size of your dog. This is for 2 meals portion for my 2 Goldies:
1. 2 Chicken breast cut into small cubes
2. 2 big tablespoons of Greek Yogurts (more or less depending on your preference)
3. Bunch of mint leaves (you can easily get it from the market & it's cheap)
Place the chicken breasts in the casserole dish (or any other oven-proof bowls you have), add in the yogurt and mint leaves. Mix them well and just put them in the oven for 30 minutes at 200°C. Take them out and stir the chicken around using a spoon. The chicken is most likely not cooked through yet, because the yogurt is keeping them moist. Put it into the oven for another 15 minutes and it'll be done!
I usually feed 2/3 meat and 1/3 vegetables, so I've stir fried some long beans and carrots in a pan while the chicken was in the oven. Just mix them together once the chicken is done, and serve them to the happy paws waiting to feast!
